BS Media and Communication

Overview Road Map

This program is specially designed for those participants who have completed their two-year bachelor’s degree i.e. BA/BSc/BCom or ADP in any discipline from any institute and want to peruse their education further in the 5th Semester/3rd Year as per HEC’s guideline and can complete 4 Year BS Media and Communication Studies. Media and communication are one of the fastest-growing disciplines of the social sciences which have created a huge demand for professionals well-versed in all mediums of communication. The media industry is leading the way in the communication revolution that is sweeping across the world. A society rich in information has become an essential need for the socio-political and socio-economic stability of any nation. The socio-political and economic stability of any nation depends greatly on the richness of information and its proper management.

This program is spread over a period of 2 years, divided into 4 semesters with a total number of 66 credit hours and the following three areas of Specialization:

  1. Communication & Research and Journalism Studies
  2. The film, Theater, and Broadcast (Radio, TV) Studies
  3. Advertising & Public Relations and Digital Media

 

Program Details

2 Years
Minimum 45% marks in the annual system or 2 CGPA in the semester system and the Candidate are supposed to appear for the Interview.

 Candidates who have BS/BA/ BSC degrees in other than Media and Communication Studies are supposed to take a Bridging semester.
